Peterborough man due in court charged with spitting at police officer
A man is due in court today (Tuesday 21 July) charged with assaulting two police officers in Peterborough.
Steven Unwin, 46, of no fixed address, was arrested in Westgate yesterday afternoon after reports of an assault.
He has since been charged with assaulting a police officer and a Special constable, namely spitting at one and pushing another to the ground.
He has been remanded in custody to appear Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today.
