Peterborough man charged with robbery

A man from Peterborough is due in court tomorrow (Wednesday 17 June) in connection with a robbery in Welland earlier this month.

Leon Holmes, 19, was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with the incident in the skatepark off Normanton Road on 6 June.

The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries including a fractured jaw.

Holmes, of Wentworth Street, has since been charged with robbery and causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
