Peterborough man charged with burglary of two elderly women in city

A man is due in court charged with burgling two elderly women in Peterborough.

John Boothby, 54, of no fixed address, was arrested in Priestgate yesterday morning after police received reports of two burglaries of elderly women in Monument Street and Dickens Street on Monday (20 July).

He has since been charged with burglary including theft and burglary with intent to steal and has been remanded in custody to appear Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today.
