Peterborough man charged with burglary at 97-year-old’s home

A Peterborough man has been charged with burglary following a break in at a 97-year-old man’s home.

John Kennedy, 40, of no fixed address, was arrested by officers from the northern Impact Team last night (Wednesday 20 May) in connection with the break-in on Thorpe Lea Road, Peterborough on Tuesday (19 May).

He has since been charged with one count of burglary with intent to steal and has been remanded to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 21 May).
