Peterborough man charged with abusing police officers and carrying knife in city park

A man has been charged with carrying a knife and abusing police officers in Peterborough.

More Juma, 29, was arrested on Tuesday night (11 August) by police at about 9pm in Central Park.

Juma, of St Michael’s Gate in Parnwell, has since been charged with possessing a knife in a public place, two counts of using threatening behaviour, racially aggravated behaviour, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today (13 August).
