Peterborough man charged with kidnapping appears in court

Kashon Browne, 22, was arrested in Earls Close, Fletton, on Monday afternoon (21 December) following reports of a kidnap and firearms offences.

Yesterday he was charged with kidnap of a woman, assault, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, handling stolen goods, dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision to police, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

Browne, of no fixed abode, appeared at Peterborough Magistrates' Court yesterday.

He did not enter pleas, and has been remanded in custody and is going to appear at Peterborough Crown Court on 20 January for a plea hearing.
