Peterborough man arrested on suspicion of murder following death at city home

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a death at a Peterborough house.

Police were called at 4.45pm with reports of a disturbance at a property in Park Road, Peterborough on Monday.

Officers and paramedics attended but a man in his 60s died at the scene.

A 34-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested at the property on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

A post mortem examination is taking place today (27 May) at Peterborough City Hospital.

Investigating officers are treating this as an isolated incident.
