Peterborough man arrested on suspicion of murder following city stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Peterborough.

Police were called at 9.42am today (12 June) to reports of a stabbing in Tilton Court, Welland, Peterborough.

Officers attended and a man in his 20s was confirmed dead at the scene.

Detectives are treating the death as suspicious and a 37-year-old man from Peterborough has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He is currently at Thorpe Wood Police Station in Peterborough.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Langford, from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Major Crime Unit, said: “I would urge anyone who has any information about this death to come forward, and particularly anyone who saw or heard any disturbance in the Tilton Court area between 9am and 10am today.”
