Peterborough man arrested following collision which left pedestrian seriously injured

A man from Peterborough has been arrested following a collision in Millfield last night (Wednesday 20 May).

Police were called to the collision where a pedestrian was hit by a car in Russell Street at just after 9pm.

The victim, a man in his 20s, has suffered serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and possessing a bladed article in a public place.

He remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.
