Peterborough house and garage targeted by arsonists

At 11.51pm on Friday crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called to a fire at The Dell in Woodston.

Firefighters arrived to find a bed on fire at the side of a house. They extinguished the fire before returning to their stations by 1am.

Then at 10.16pm on Saturday crews from the same stations were called to a garage fire in Normanton Road, Welland.

Both fires are believed to have been started deliberately, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
