A Peterborough driver was pulled over after police found too many people in a car - including a four year old sitting on a passenger’s lap.

Police stopped the Vauxhall Insignia saloon car in the city today.
A spokesman said: “How many people can you fit in a Vauxhall Insignia? The answer isn’t six - especially when the sixth is a four year old child on someone’s lap. Driver reported and can’t continue his journey until he’s lost a passenger and found a suitable seat for the child!”
