Peterborough cyclist remains in critical condition nearly two weeks after quad bike collision

A cyclist remains in a critical condition nearly two weeks after a crash on a Peterborough road.

At about 4.20pm on Thursday, May 14 police officers and paramedics attended the incident involving a Yamaha quad bike, a pedal cycle, a Toyota Prius and a Renault Scenic.

The cyclist, an 18-year-old man, was critically injured and taken to Addenbrookes’ Hospital. Today a police spokesman said he remains in a critical condition at the Cambridge Hospital.

A 27-year-old man, who was riding the quad bike, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital in a serious condition.

He has since been discharged from hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery. A police spokesman said ‘he is assisting us with enquiries.’

The drivers of the two cars were uninjured.
