Peterborough attempted murder arrests following city stabbing

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Peterborough.

Police were called by the East of England Ambulance Service to Fengate at 10.30am today after a man, aged in his 30s, was found in the area with multiple stab wounds.

He has been taken to Peterborough City Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Cambridgeshire police have confirmed two men, aged 35 and 48, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and are currently in custody in Thorpe Wood Police Station.

A spokesman for the East of England Air Ambulance said they were called at 10.30am. He said: “We sent an ambulance, a response car and an air ambulance to the scene. We transferred the patient by land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital for further care and treatment.”
