MP calls for tougher action from police after illegal rave in Peterborough park

Peterborough MP Paul Bristow has called for tougher action from police after an illegal rave involving more than 100 people in a Peterborough park.

The rave took place in the Chestnut play area near the Chestnut Centre in Eastgate last night (August 7) and residents have complained about litter and rubbish left strewn across the parkland.

Peterborough MP Paul Bristow visited the scene today (August 8) and posted a video on social media calling for tougher action from police.

“I want to send a message out loud and clear that this sort of activity is not OK. This sort of activity risks lives and look at the state of this play area. “Decent people who live in this community don’t deserve to put up with this.

“I’m going to get the local authority to clear this up but the police and everyone responsible for law and order in this city need to crack down on illegal parties like this.

“It is not OK.”
