Man with sledge hammer smashes up pub
The Blue Boar in High Street, Eye, was badly damaged by the man early on Saturday morning (July 30), with the windows and doors smashed.
Two cars parked in the street were also targeted.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called at about 5.50am on Saturday morning with reports of criminal damage in the High Street in Eye.

Hide Ad“It was reported that a man had a sledge hammer and smashed windows and doors of the Blue Boar pub, as well as the rear windows of two cars, a blue Mini Cooper and a grey Vauxhall Astra, which were parked in the street.
“The offender is described as about 5’ 9”, slim build, possibly late 30s and wearing dark clothing with a hood up.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
