Man found seriously hurt in Peterborough house where police also discovered cannabis plants

Police are investigating after a man was found seriously injured at a house in Peterborough where they later found cannabis plants.

Forensic officers were at the scene throughout the night (Sunday, August 2) according to residents in Wright Avenue, Stangound and were still at the property today.

A police spokesman told the Peterborough Telegraph: “We were called at 7pm on Sunday (August 2) to reports of concern for the welfare of a man at an address in Wright Avenue, Peterborough.

“Officers attended and a man, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

“Whilst at the address, officers located a number of cannabis plants.

“No arrests have been made and a scene is in place. Enquiries into how the man became injured are ongoing.”
