Man charged with possessing a knife in Peterborough city centre

Police were called just before 1am yesterday (Monday) with reports of a man in Bridge Street waving a blade around.

Ashley Lambert, 29, of no fixed address, was arrested and later charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

He has been bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on 2 July.
