Man charged with murder of baby remanded into custody at Peterborough court appearence

Two people charged in connection with the death of a baby have been remanded into custody after appearing at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court.

Kane Mitchell, (30), of no fixed abode but formerly of St Neots, has been charged with murder of 12-week-old Teddie Mitchell, while Lucci Smith, 29, of Pattison Court, St Neots, has been charged with causing or allowing the death of a child.

Both appeared at the Peterborough court this morning, and have been remanded into custody to appear at Cambridge Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday).

Teddie, from St Neots, died at Addenbrookes’ Hospital on November 11 last year.
