Man charged with burglary of Peterborough pub

A man has been charged with burglary after a Peterborough pub was broken into

William Thornton, of Padholme Road, was arrested on suspicion of breaking into The Ostrich Inn in North Street on Monday (March 30) - the same day as the burglary happened.

Thornton, (44), has since been charged with burglary and pleaded not guilty at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court yesterday (1 April).

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Crown Court on 24 April.
