Man charged over alleged prison murder
Jordan Palmer (25) appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday) in connection with the death of Terence Ojuderie.
Ojuderie (42), a father originally from Watford, was pronounced dead after the police were called to reports of violence inside HMP Peterborough on Thursday, December 9.

Hide AdPalmer, who has since been transferred to HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes, appeared at the court via video link.
Wearing a prison issue grey tracksuit, he spoke to confirm his name, date of birth, and the prison he was serving at.
He sat in the middle of a row of three chairs throughout the short hearing, listening to the legal submissions.
Giles Beaumont, prosecuting, said the case was too serious to be heard by magistrates, and said a hearing should take place at Peterborough Crown Court on May 4.

Hide AdThe court was told there was no indication of how Palmer might plead at the preliminary hearing, and no bail application.
Magistrate Joanna Cousins said: “We are remanding you into custody and sending the matter to the crown court for a hearing in May 4.”
