Man charged in connection with Peterborough cannabis factory
A man is set to appear in court in connection with a cannabis factory in Peterborough.
Janis Varakalns, 38, was arrested by the Community Action Team in Abbotsbury, Orton Goldhay, yesterday morning (Wednesday 12 August) in connection with a cannabis factory in Eye.
He has since been charged with production of cannabis, abstracting electricity, three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs; cocaine, magic mushrooms and MDMA, and two counts of possession with intent to supply class B drugs; cannabis and ketamine.
Varakalns, of Prince Street in Wisbech, has been remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today.
