Man bailed in Peterborough attempted murder probe

A man remains in hospital following an incident in Eastleigh Road, Peterborough earlier this week.

Police were called to the address in Eastgateat 11.40pm on Tuesday, after four men were seen forcing their way into a property with weapons.

One man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Today a Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said the man remained at hospital receiving treatment.

Another man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He has now been released on bail until May 27.
