Man arrested over stabbing near Peterborough Passport Office

A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing near the Passport Office in Peterborough.

Police were called to Northminster at around 7.50pm last Thursday after a man in his 30s was stabbed.

He was taken to hospital but was said to be in a stable condition.

Police described the attack as an “isolated incident”.

This morning, a Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: “A 59-year-old man from Wansford was arrested on Friday night on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. He has since been bailed to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on June 12.”
