Man, 24, arrested in Peterborough after boy was left with life-changing injuries

Police in Peterborough have arrested a 24-year-old man after a nine-year-old boy was injured in a street attacked on Saturday afternoon.

The boy, who was assaulted in Peveril Road, Peterborough, suffered multiple wounds to his face and head.

He remains in hospital at Addenbrooke’s with life-changing injuries but is in a stable condition.

A 24-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested late last night (Saturday) on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) in connection with the incident.
