Lucky escape as driver and passengers escape from car in Peterborough river
A driver and two passengers had a lucky escape after their car ended up submerged upside down in a river.
Peterborough police were called at about 10.30pm on Saturday to reports of a car in a river at Old Oundle Road, Thornhaugh.
When officers arrived, they found three people who were in the vehicle had suffered ‘minor injuries.’
The car was later recovered.
