Figures from the Office for National Statistics show that last year, there was a 17 per cent rise in domestic burglaries in the city, compared to 2024.
The data was revealed in April, and police said that tackling burglary was a 'priority area’ for the force to work on.
A Cambridgeshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Burglary is a priority area for the force and our dedicated Acquisitive Crime Teams (ACT) are working hard across the county to arrest those responsible for and put them before the courts to stop further offences."
Here we reveal where the biggest hotspots for burglary are in Peterborough. Figures show the rate per 1,000 homes in each city ward.
