A house in Peterborough was deliberately set on fire.

The two-storey property in Princes Gardens, Eastfield, was damaged by fire last night (Monday) with fire crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground sent out at 10.45pm.

The firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 12.30am.

Police were also seen at the premises both last night and this morning.

There are no reports of any injuries.
