Driver fled after flipping car in Peterborough street

A driver ran from police after flipping his car following a collision with a parked car

Emergency services were called just before 9.30pm yesterday (2 July) with reports of a collision involving two cars on Dogsthorpe Road, Peterborough.

The collision involved a Seat Altea which collided with a parked car and then flipped onto its roof.

As a result of the collision the road was closed but re-opened just before 11.30pm.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “Officers arrived on scene but witnesses described the driver of the Seat fleeing on foot. The injuries suffered are unclear, but investigations into the circumstances of the collision continue.”
