Drink driver jailed after being caught for second time in eight days

A drink driver has been jailed after being caught behind the wheel while under the influence for the second time in eight days.

Lucjan Mazur (41) of Leverington Road, Wisbech was stopped for the second time on December 12. He gave a readinng of 48 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

He was also driving while disqualified and had no insurance.

Peterborough Magistrates' Court heard he had also been stopped on December 4th - and had another, third, drink drive offence in the past.

Mazur was jailed for 18 weeks, and banned from driving for six years. He was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and costs of £85.
