Dozens of Peterborough drivers fined after concerns raised about dangerous parking

Dozens of drivers have been fined in Peterborough for a variety of motoring offences after day of action.

Eastern neighbourhood officers, in partnership with Peterborough City Council Enforcement officers, carried out a day of action in Central Ward to rtackle illegal parking and unlawful obstructions in Central Ward.

Concerns had recently been raised by the public and local Councillors around the parking, emergency access, and public safety in this area.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “A total of 60 Fixed Penalty Notices were given out for various offences, and many more drivers were given words of advice and were subsequently moved on.”
