Dangerous BMW with more than a dozen serious faults seized by police after Peterborough car meet

Peterborough police said the silver car was spotted by officers at a metting at the Vivacity site in Hampton.

A spokesman said; "It was seized from the scene as it was believed to be in a dangerous and unroadworthy condition and was sent for inspection by Police vehicle examiners.

"Preliminary checks have revealed that there were over a dozen serious faults with the vehicle which should have prohibited it from the roads including bald tyres, sharp body work hanging off the vehicle, loose seats and multiple fire risks.

"Formerly being driven on Peterborough roads, it is now currently with Police pending a more thorough inspection and investigations are still ongoing."
