Here are the most serious offenders. This is not a list of all offenders jailed, but of those who have committed such serious offences that Cambridgeshire Police have deemed it worthy to release their custody photographs to the public.
17. Daniel Holmes
Daniel Holmes (39) is described as a “prolific Peterborough thief”. Holmes appeared at Peterborough Crown Court and pleaded guilty to two counts of taking a vehicle without consent, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, handling stolen goods and making off without payment at an earlier hearing. 18. Scott Burchett
Scott Burchett (42) entered a home wearing a balaclava and wielding an axe - he was let into the property by a child. Burchett demanded money but was disarmed by a man in his 30s who was in the property. As Burchett attempted to flee, the victim pulled off his balaclava. DNA testing on the balaclava provided a positive match for Burchett. He admitted to a charge of aggravated burglary and was sentenced to six years and two months in prison. 19. Matthew Cox
Matthew Cox (40) was arrested on multiple occasions for harassing and stalking his ex-partner, leaving her threatening and abusive messages and turning up at her home. He admitted to charges of stalking and intimidating a witness. He was sentenced to 27 months imprisonment. Photo: Cambridgeshire Constabulary
20. Ibraheem Tanveer
Ibraheem Tanveer (21) was arrested by officers in the early hours of 15 April for an offence which he later faced no further action. However, during the arrest, Tanveer resisted and became verbally abusive. As the officers attempted to escort Tanveer to the police van, he spat at one of them with the spit landing in their face.
