Coronavirus: Residents threatened with fake council letters accusing them of ignoring social distancing

Huntingdonshire District Council said: “We are aware that some residents have received letters claiming to be from HDC explaining that they have failed to obey self-isolation and social distancing procedures.
“These letters are not from the district council. Please disregard.”

Hide AdThe fake letters state: “It has come to attention of HDC that member(s) of your household may have failed to obey current legal legislation for restriction of movement from and to the property aforementioned above.”
The letter adds that there is photographic evidence and that further breaches will result in a possible infringement of the law.
