Cambridgeshire Police said the burglary took place at about 3pm on 20 October, when an elderly man living in Eye Road answered the door to a man offering gardening work.
Police said the victim was lured away from his front door and when he returned inside, he noticed his wallet had been stolen containing £60 and his cards. His bank cards were used immediately afterwards to purchase alcohol and tobacco.
Now police have released a number of images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident. They are hoping residents might be able to help to identify him.
