Car torched on Peterborough field

A fire crew from Dogsthorpe was called to the site in Eastfield at around 2pm on Monday.

The crew arrived to find a silver BMW on fire. They supervised the flames and allowed them to burn out, before returning to their station by 2.35pm.

They later re-inspected the area at 4.40pm to ensure the scene was safe.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
