Cannabis seized from four people on same night

Cannabis was seized from four different people in Whittlesey, March and Chatteris on Thursday evening last week.

Neighbourhood officers also seized an extendable baton and a car from an unlicensed and uninsured driver.

The first arrest was a seizure of cannabis from a car in Glebe Close, Chatteris, at about 5pm.

A police spokeswoman said: “The owner had exited the car and is in the process of being dealt with. No arrests have been made yet.”

The second cannabis seizure was from two men on Marylebone Road, March. Both are being dealt with by community resolutions.

A third arrest was also made in Whittlesey, although further details have not been given.

A 17-year-old boy also had no license and was in possession of a baton and cannabis. This was at about 10.30pm in Dartford Road, March. He will also be dealt with via community resolution, police said.
