Buses help evacuate pupils from Bourne Grammar School after Police incident

A fleet of buses has helped to evacuate Bourne Grammar School pupils after emergency services attended a Police incident.

A fire engine and paramedic cars were seen outisde of the school earlier but Police have now confirmed that all other emergency services have left the site.

The Police have stayed behind to assist with the traffic after the decision was taken to end the school day early.

Earlier today, a Police spokesperson said: “We are in attendance at Bourne Grammar School in South Road, Bourne, following a call this morning reporting a suspicious phone call to the school.

“Emergency services are in attendance, and as a precautionary measure all pupils and staff at the school have been safely evacuated.

“Members of the public should avoid the area while emergency services attend.

“We are continuing to liaise with the school.”
