Burglary warning after Cambridgeshire Police receive 33 reports in one week
Police have issued a burglary warning to residents after receiving 33 reports in just one week.
Officers have said that with nights getting longer, the number of calls rises.
They have now issued advice to residents to help keep their property safe.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Last week, we received 33 calls across the county reporting concerns about houses being broken into.

“With the nights getting longer, thieves will often take advantage of the dark nights to stay hidden.
“Protect your house this season by:
“Having your lights and a radio on a timer to make it look like someone is home
“If you have one, ensure your alarm system is activated
“Checking all windows and doors are locked
“Removing anything from your garden that could be used to force entry, and ensuring any sheds are secure”
