Arsonists torch barn in Guyhirn

A barn was torched by arsonists in Guyhirn last night.

More than 20 firefighters from Cambridgeshire and Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service were called to the barn fire in Mouth Lane, Guyhirn at about 6.30pm.

Crews arrived to find a large brick barn well alight, which had started to spread to nearby apple crates

The teams set up a water shuttle and used two jets and two hose reels to extinguish the fire

The cause of the fire is now under investigation, but is believed to be deliberate. Anyone with information about the incident should contact Cambridgeshire police by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
