At 11.32pm on July 6 crews the flats were evacuated after a fire was started.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a mattress next to a building that was spreading to flats. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and other extinguishers.

The property was evacuated before the crews arrived.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “We are keeping an open mind as to whether the incidents are linked whilst we continue our enquiries.”
