Appeal after 18-year-old assault by gang of three men in Peterborough

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old was assaulted by a gang of three men in Peterborough.

Officers were called at about 9pm on Saturday (23 January) with reports of violence in Eyrescroft, Bretton.

An appeal has now been launched to try and identify the men, and officers have returned to the scene today to carry out further investigations.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: "An 18-year-old man was attacked by a group of three men and sustained minor injuries. Officers and paramedics attended and the man was treated at the scene. He did not require hospital treatment.

"An investigation is ongoing to identify those responsible for the attack and officers have returned to the area today (25 January).
