Air ambulance takes driver to hospital after car leaves A47 and hits tree

Police are appealing for information following a collision on the A47 at Guyhirn yesterday (Monday).

At about 8.13pm a blue Toyota GT86 came off the road and collided with a tree.

The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he remains in a serious, but stable, condition.

The road was closed until the early hours of this morning with a diversion put in place.

Anyone with any information or dash cam footage of the vehicle should contact Cambridgeshire police on 101 quoting incident 472 of January 27 and ask for Sergeant Aaron Murphy.
