Woman who stole Lego from her parents' Peterborough home to fund drug habit is jailed
A woman who stole two Lego sets from her parents to fund her drug habit has been put behind bars, Cambridgeshire Police have said.
Leanne Ginns, 34, was handed a two-year restraining order in August preventing her from visiting her parents’ home in Peterborough.
A force spokesperson said: “However, she flouted this on 26 November when her father noticed two Lego sets worth £100 missing from a bedroom.
"Ginns returned later the same day and admitted stealing the sets to fund her drug habit. When confronted by her father, Ginns replied, “So what? I needed the money”.

“Ginns, of no fixed address, then breached the restraining order on 8 January, when officers saw her in the Dogsthorpe area walking towards her parents’ house.
“Officers turned their car around and found her on the driveway of the house, where she was arrested.
“Ginns answered no comment to all questions in interview but later admitted breaching a restraining order and one count of theft.”
She was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday (5 February) where she was handed one year in prison.
PC Zoe Girbow, who investigated, said: “Ginns had no regard for her parents when she stole items from their home to buy more drugs.
“I hope the sentence highlights how seriously both we and the courts take breaching a restraining order.”
