Woman found with heroin and crack cocaine in her bra at Peterborough underpass is jailed

A woman is back in prison after she was caught dealing drugs in Peterborough - just months after completing a previous jail term.

Margaret Walker, 40, was caught by police after they saw her talking to drug users in an underpass between Mayor’s Walk and Russell Street, in Peterborough, at about 11.30am on 15 October.

A Cambs Police spokesperson said: “Walker had been released from prison in August after serving a sentence for possession with intent to supply drugs.

“She was arrested and found to have 74 drugs wraps in her bra – one heroin, and the rest crack cocaine - and worth just under £800 in total.”

Walker, of no fixed abode, admitted possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin at Peterborough Crown Court on Thursday, 13 November, and was sentenced to two years and ten months in prison.

DC Nik Loizou said: “There is no place for drugs on our streets, and we will continue to arrest those involved in this trade which causes so much misery.

“We encourage the public to report their suspicions about drugs so we can continue to take action.”
