WATCH as police recover drugs from dealer after chase in Peterborough street
A man threw away more 100 wraps of cocaine and heroin as he tried to run from Peterborough police.
Cambridgeshire police say that Sergio Pereira (21) was spotted by neighbourhood officers with a group of drug users in Dickens Street, Eastfield.
But police say that as Pereira suddenly realised he had been spotted he ran off but was detained after a short chase.
A police spokesperson said that as Pereira ran, he tried to discard numerous wraps crack cocaine and heroin in Padholme Road.

In total, more than 125 wraps of class A drugs were recovered by police officers during the incident on December 10.
Pereira, of Greater Manchester, was sentenced to 21 months in a young offenders institution after pleading guilty at Huntingdon Law Courts on March 23 to possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine, and possession of criminal property.
Afterwards, Detective Constable Igor Simonov, who investigated, said: “This was a great spot by our neighbourhood officers who were in the area responding to community concerns about drug dealing.
“Drug dealing and the associated criminality have a big impact on the community, and I urge anyone with concerns to continue reporting them to us.”
Anyone with concerns or information about drugs can report to police online via the dedicated drugs information webpage.
