Police partially close Wisbech home after reports of "drug dealing and criminality"
Police have partially closed a house in Wisbech to tackle what they describe as “drug dealing and associated criminality”.
The partial closure order was served on 3 Laburnum Close, Wisbech, on Thursday (18 December) following a successful application at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT).
A force spokesperson explains: “The order, which is in place, until 18 March, prohibits access to everyone, with the exception of the named tenant, emergency services, employees of Clarion Housing Association, Fenland District Council, and support services.”
Failure to comply with the order is a criminal offence which could result in imprisonment for up to three months, a fine, or both.

Sergeant Lee Lombardo, from Wisbech’s NPT, comments: “Drug dealing and the associated criminality such as anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact to the surrounding community.
“My team and I hope this order provides neighbouring residents with some reassurance and we will deal with any breaches robustly.”
Anyone with information about the order being breached should contact police online at www.cambs.police.uk/report. Those without internet access should call 101.
