Peterborough man jailed after twice being caught driving while disqualified
A Peterborough man has been jailed after he was caught driving while disqualified twice in less than three weeks.
Police say that Neville Smith (30) was arrested near his home in Cleve Place, Eye, near Peterborough, on September 4, after being caught driving a car while disqualified.
A Cambridgeshire police spokesperson said: “Officers from the force’s Road Policing Unit were in the area at the time as they had discovered that Smith was driving two vehicles despite being banned.
“He had been arrested by the same officers on August 17 and was handed a two-year driving disqualification and a suspended sentence at court for various driving offences.”

Police say that Smith appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on September 5 where he was jailed for 10 months – including the activation of his suspended sentence – and handed a driving ban of 59 months and 12 days after admitting to driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
