Man jailed after committing sex act near play area in Peterborough park
A man who breached a court order by committing a sex act near a children’s play area in a Peterborough park has been jailed.
Cambridgeshire police say that Gary Smith (52) was spotted by a member of the public committing the act near the play area in Grove Street, Fletton.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers arrested Smith after finding him laying down with his trousers and belt undone. The offence took place on July 31.
He said: “Smith has a criminal behaviour order until 2029 that stipulates he cannot attend public parkland or gardens.”

Police say Smith admitted breaching the criminal behaviour order but denied outraging public decency.
However, Smith, of no known address, changed his plea to guilty concerning the second count at a hearing of Cambridge Crown Court on January 14 where he was jailed for 22 months.
Afterwards, PC Millie Pinguenet said: “Smith’s behaviour was blatant and absolutely disgusting.
“He knew the criteria of his criminal behaviour order but simply chose to ignore them.
"I’m pleased he has appeared in court and been jailed for his actions.”
