17-year-old boy charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place

A 17-year-old boy appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court yesterday (March 9) charged with robbery and the possession of a knife in a public place.
Police say the boy is also charged with attempted robbery and failing to comply with a community protection notice.
He will next appear at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on March 18.
He also remains on bail for four further counts of robbery.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said that officers were contacted about a series of alleged knife-point robberies in Wisbech last week, including two at the weekend.
He said that four teenage boys were arrested.
Two 15-year-old boys and another 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of robbery.
They have been released on bail and an investigation is ongoing.
