Child taken to hospital with serious injuries after collision with a car in Peterborough

A child in Peterborough has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car this morning (April 13).

The incident took place at the Brotherhood Retail Park on Lincoln Road at just before 12pm and left the child, understood to be a girl, with serious injuries.

Ambulance crews transported the child to hospital but she is not thought to have life-threatening injuries.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire police said: “We were called at 11.51pm today (13 April) to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at the Brotherhood retail park in Peterborough.

“The pedestrian, a child, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital.”
